5 O’Clock Computers is located in Beavercreek, near Dayton, Ohio (USA). We started the business in 1993 as a limited partnership for selling computer hardware and during the initial months, it was meant to be a part-time operation, open for business after the working hours at 5:00 PM. Starting initially from the owner’s apartment and later renting 100 sq. ft space at our current location, which ended up in purchasing the building within three years period. The part-time arrangement also couldn’t last for more than 3 or 4 months, and soon turned into full-time occupation. The rapid business growth was helped by boom in the computer industry in 1990’s and we gained large number of customers because of our low (or very competitive) prices, quick order fulfillment and responsive and friendly customer service. Unfortunately, however, the IT bubble burst at turn of the century and it affected us as much as any other business, but through all ups and downs, we have maintained a reputable business and loyalty of most customers. It was only due to our traits and obligation to tend to every order with care and provide maximum possible to customers after-sales support.
The returning customers would note the new look of our website. After running the business with the legacy software for number of years; it became apparent to us that we could not continue in the same old manner and still meet the demands of a vibrant modern-day business. With this recognition in mind, we have made investments in improving our business delivery model while retaining our customer oriented philosophy. Under the new model, we are tapping into the warehouses around the country to bring you wide range of computer products instead of stocking and selling very limited number of items. Our website now lists products from huge number of manufacturers and offers selections to meet every business need.
5 O’Clock Computers has built the business around low pricing, quick order fulfillment, personalized attention to every order and providing outstanding customer service. It is our resolve to maintain these traits while moving forward and will present more choices to the customers following our new model.
